Minimum 10 years of experience in a senior IT leadership role within a higher education institution or a large organization with significant technological complexity.




- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful IT strategic plans.
- Strong understanding of academic information systems (LMS, SIS), administrative enterprise applications (ERP), and research computing platforms.
- In-depth knowledge of network infrastructure, server administration, operating systems, and data security principles.



- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build strong relationships with faculty, staff, students, and external vendors.
- Proven ability to manage and motivate a diverse IT team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Develop   and implement a comprehensive IT strategic plan aligned with the university's   overall goals and objectives.

  • Oversee the entire IT budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources   for optimal service delivery.

  • Lead and manage the IT department, fostering a high-performing and   collaborative team environment.

  • Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and standards that promote   data security, system reliability, and user efficiency.

  • Ensure the availability, performance, and security of all IT   infrastructure, including networks, servers, data centers, and cloud services   by coordinating infrastructure management.

  • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of university-wide software   applications for academic and administrative functions, including Learning   Management Systems (LMS), Student Information Systems (SIS), Enterprise   Resource Planning (ERP) systems, and research and educational computing   platforms.

  • Collaborate with academic and administrative departments to understand   their technology needs and provide innovative solutions.

  • Identify and implement emerging technologies that improve operational   efficiency, enhance the learning experience, and advance research   capabilities.

  • Manage relationships with external vendors for IT services and ensure   adherence to contracts and service level agreements (SLAs).

  • Lead and manage disaster recovery planning and ensure the organization's   ability to respond effectively to IT disruptions.

  • Foster a culture of innovation within the IT department and encourage   continuous improvement of IT processes.

  • Stay up-to-date on the latest IT trends and best practices in higher   education.

  • Provide regular reports and presentations to the COO on IT performance,   budget, and strategic initiatives.
