Responsibilities

Classroom Support:

  • Assist in the preparation of teaching materials, including handouts, presentations, and multimedia resources.

  • Set up and maintain equipment for lectures, demonstrations, or experiments.
    Provide support during class sessions, helping to manage student behavior and engagement.

Student Interaction:

  • Offer assistance to students during class, lab sessions, or office hours.

  • Address student inquiries and provide clarification on course content.

  • Provide feedback on assignments and assist with grading under the direction of the lead instructor.


Office Hours and Tutoring:

  • Conduct scheduled office hours to provide additional support and guidance to students.

  • Offer one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions to reinforce learning objectives.


Administrative Tasks:

  • Assist in record-keeping, such as maintaining attendance records and grading assignments.

  • Help organize and coordinate class-related activities, field trips, or guest lectures.

Communication:

  • Facilitate communication between students and the lead instructor.

  • Contribute to communication channels, such as course websites or online platforms.

Laboratory Assistance:

  • Assist in the setup and supervision of laboratory sessions, if applicable.

  • Provide guidance on experimental procedures and ensure a safe and efficient learning environment.


Assessment Support:

  • Assist in the development and administration of exams, quizzes, and assessments.

  • Participate in the grading process, providing feedback to students.

Technology Integration:

  • Support the use of technology in the classroom, including online learning platforms, multimedia presentations, and educational software.

Professional Development:

  • Engage in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current in the field.
